Information
Lize Beekman wrote a lullaby (Soveel-so Lullaby) for her sister's little girl, Lisa, who was born shortly before the release of her solo-album Draadkar oor die See. The lullaby was included on the CD and dedicated to Lisa. A while after the release of the CD, Lize's sister (Elmien) said to Lize that the lullaby is wonderful and beautiful, but she finds it hard to sing it to Lisa herself. This then started Lize on the idea of writing lullabies that would be 'mother-friendly', recording it in such a way, and using instrumentation, that would truly have a calming and peaceful effect on the little-one. Lize was blessed with wonderful and loving parents, and now, with Lisa in her life, she again is witness to such a beautiful, loving and caring relationship between Parents & Child. There is also a renewed awareness of how precious this young life is; therefore Lize could not see herself using this lullaby CD to enrich herself. The decision to rather use this CD to be meaningful to thousands of little-ones came easy. Also, to give the money raised by the CD to the RED CROSS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL was clear to her from the very beginning, for they care for thousands of children every year, irrespective of parent's income, race, gender, religion or place of residence.
